Young and enthusiastic designer Gao Ling (Esther Liu) is just an average gal working hard to pay the bills, but a chance encounter with the ambitious Xiang Ning (Li Wei) and runaway rich boy Yuan Hao (Eddie Peng) changes her life. Five years later, she is now a single mother raising a daughter on her own. On the other side of the world, Yuan Hao's sister Yuan Zhe (Pace Wu) has long been in love with Xiang Ning, but she strikes up a relationship with an overseas student (David Chen) while she's in New York and becomes pregnant. In the end, she leaves him without a word. How will these two young single mothers from very different backgrounds cope with the challenges of love, work, and family?
